Our Vision
That We May be One (based on John 17:21)
Our vision defines who we are and what we aspire to become. Our vision statement is formulated on the basis of being biblical, crisp and easy to remember.
Our Mission
Called to unity in Christ, witnessing the Gospel together through the promotion of peace, justice, and reconciliation, and service to the communities
The mission statement will spell out what we do as the Council of Churches.
Our Three Priority Areas and Programmatic Focuses
1. Promoting Ecumenical Relations
by Ecumenical Formation:
- Ecumenical Resource Center
- Conferences, seminars, and visits to promote ecumenical relations
- Partnering with seminaries and colleges to promote ecumenical studies
by Ecumenical Fellowship:
- CCM Sunday and pulpit exchange
- Ecumenical church visits
- Retreats for Heads of Member Churches, pastors and lay leaders, youth and women
- Ecumenical worship – MDOP, WDP, WOPCU, etc.
- CCM regional fellowships
- Youth exchange programs
- CCM newsletters and media
2. Building Peace
by Engagement in Public Space:
- Public Statements
- A CCM ‘Thinktank’
- A CCM Lawyers Fellowship
- Climate issues
by Engagement in Interfaith Relations:
- Interfaith dialogues and other related activities
- MCCBCHST
3. Serving Communities
by Engagement in Diakonia Ministry:
- Conferences and seminars on diakonia ministry
- Fundraising projects in support of communities in need
